This website is dedicated to found objects which bear an uncanny resemblance to something else. It is an ongoing job and I have only just started.

I am looking for natural objects rather than ones which have been designed or created by people. In some cases the original objects may have been modified to enhance their appearance. I will only use ones which I think are reasonably authentic.

I am trying to include a wide variety of objects and subjects. I am particularly interested in the more unusual ones like animals leaping from the camp fire.

I also want to include some of the stories behind the pictures and reflect the eclectic nature of the sites they come from. Searching for images reveals all sorts of personal idiosyncrasies - people posting hundreds of pictures of themselves at the airport on travel sites, posing as various kinds of animals or selling potato lookalikes on ebay - and I want to add my bit.

There are many bizarre images of "ghosts" on the internet - spooky "heads" in shaky photographs - as well as religious figures appearing in the sky but I do not want to include them because they come with an agenda.

Where multiple copies of an image occur on the web I have tried to choose the one with a personal story behind it.

The sponsored Google ads are intended to help cover the costs of the site. It is a new concept to me, so I do not know whether it will work.
