Birds

Welcome to cuckoo cloud land where the rocks have wings. I am looking for more examples of things which look like birds. Do you know of a canary island or a pebble which parrots a pelican? Please send me your bird photos.
Antique landing
These legs of stone stand in the desert at Wadi Rumm, Jordan where David Lean filmed much of Lawrence of Arabia.
T E Lawrence described the area as "irresistible", "stupendous" and "greater than imagination" in Seven Pillars of Wisdom.
And all I can do is bad puns...

Rock poule
Noumea, Grande Terre, New Caledonia is a little bit of France in the Pacific Ocean. The island used to be a penal colony, so there is a long history of doing bird.
This chicken (La Poule d'Hienghene) is served on a bed of sand.

Chick or chap?
Mike took this on his second round the world trip. I have not started my first yet. He even sailed on the tall ship Soren Larsen to Vanuatu. Not jealous.
The inhabitants of Noumea apparently call this Le Bonhomme but this homme looks like a bird to me.
